The Illusion of Equality?
During our previous panel discussions, we elaborated on the aspects of ‘Sexual Reproduction Health and Rights’, while also digging deep into the topic of ‘Masculinity’.
One particular topic that has been here for centuries and which many believe won’t go away anytime soon, is what some call “the myth that is Equality”.
While many have stood up, organizations that were created, awareness sessions and thousands of seminars that were organized, they all end the same way. There is no real answer on whether equality for all will be achieved. or wil it?
Some say it’s a false prophet, some say equality of opportunity vs outcome is a better discussion.
Could it be that equality will forever be an illusion?
Join us as we invite senior professionals to lead us in what promises to be an interesting and fruitful discussion on the ‘Illusion of Equality”.

Michele Jules
Michele Jules is a Surinamese woman who finds joy in the little things in life. She considers herself a Mid-career level professional skilled with policy development, project management and event logistic. She recently discovered her passion for self development coaching.
Michele has a legal background and currently works at the Ministry of Home Affairs as a Policy Advisor. In that capacity she is responsible for management of the Office for Migration and Integration and coordinates the implementation of Suriname’s National Population Policy. She’s currently working on her coaching business “Coached by MiMi”. It’s a Self development coaching business that aims to provide people with tools to develop a positive mindset, beat procrastination, set and achieve goals, get clarity and overcome limiting beliefs. The idea is to create communities, where people know what they want and have the tools to go after their goals.
Motivating others and helping people reach their potential is one of my biggest passions. A servant leader is what I desire to be. Learning new languages, increasing my knowledge and traveling are things I enjoy doing, other than that I enjoy event planning, MCing and moderating.
